Starmie can emit electrical waves from the core that are powerful enough to reach the furthest parts of the universe. Due to this, many believe this Pokémon may have come from outer space. The core will go dark if Starmie is knocked unconscious, and will sometimes flicker, similarly to a light bulb.

Lana: The more dramatic her hair is, I feel like the crazier she’s becoming. Depending on where we are in the story, leading up to the curse, I always try to give her more of a crazed look. Her hair’s a little more teased and all over the place and her eyes are a bit more dramatic and that was intentional and that was something that I came up with.
